Great Ming: Hongwu's Descendant Meets Xu Miaoyun from the Start

In the fifteenth year of the Zhizheng era, Zhu Yuanzhang, then a Red Turban Army commander, gathered an army of a hundred thousand to attack Jiqing.

That September, Ma Xiuying gave birth in Fengyang to her eldest son, Zhu Biao, and then her second son, Zhu Xi.

But disaster struck without warning. Chen Youliang, who held Wu Zhong, took advantage of Fengyang's weak defenses and captured Zhu Yuanzhang's second son. He then announced to Zhu Yuanzhang's entire army that Zhu Xi had been killed, hoping to crush their morale.

Yet no one could have imagined that Chen Youliang had spared Zhu Xi and was secretly raising him in the army as part of a hidden plan of his own.

In the fifth year of Hongwu, after a defeat on the northern frontier, Zhu Yuanzhang wanted Xu Da to take command. But Xu Da's achievements made him a threat, so at Empress Ma's suggestion, Zhu Yuanzhang arranged a marriage between his fourth son, Zhu Di, and Xu Da's eldest daughter, Xu Miaoyun.

But just then, someone reported that Xu Miaoyun already had a lover. Furious, Zhu Yuanzhang went to find the man.

Zhu Yuanzhang: **... Y-you're not dead?

Zhu Xi: ???

Years later, when Crown Prince Zhu Biao died, Zhu Yuanzhang, consumed with grief, turned his attention to his legitimate second son, Zhu Xi!
