The only thing that makes me think it is a failure is that the protagonist can eat 7 devil fruits, and they are copied from other people. The first Akainu's rock fruit, the second Aokiji's frozen fruit are ridiculous, and there are also settings where sea water and sea stone are completely ineffective. These three settings are extremely poisonous, making people feel as uncomfortable as falling asleep in the sun.
