An ER Doctor Has Arrived on Baker Street

Shen Yan, an emergency room doctor, dropped dead after working a 36-hour shift. When he opened his eyes, he had transmigrated to London in 1888.

His identity: a Chinese folk doctor in an East End slum. A wealthy merchant he had treated three days earlier was lying dead in his clinic. Scotland Yard had decided he was the killer, and the countdown to his hanging stood at three days.

Shen Yan glanced at the corpse and asked, "Have you tested for poison?"

Lestrade: "What poison?"

Shen Yan: "...Never mind. I'll do it myself."

Aconitine poisoning, a forged head injury, and a search for the source of the herbs: with a ten-minute autopsy, Shen Yan saved himself from the gallows. He also turned Scotland Yard's two-day-old conclusion completely on its head.

Holmes stood beside the corpse, staring at him for a long time. "You took ten minutes. I took two days."

Shen Yan: "You're not short on brains. You're short on tools and training. I can teach you."

Holmes: "..."

Later, 221B Baker Street gained a regular visitor: a Chinese doctor who carried an acupuncture kit everywhere and always said, "Save lives first, solve the case later." Holmes handled deduction, Shen Yan handled forensic medicine and first aid, and Watson kept the peace whenever the two of them started arguing.

Until Moriarty realized that this doctor's fingerprint identification and toxicology analysis were cutting off his criminal network, one link at a time.

"Kill that doctor first."
