Last Survivors of the Miasma Wasteland

A land of miasma, where poisonous fog rolls across the wasteland.

A single breath of miasma can make an ordinary person’s flesh rot and die. The sacrificial altar has become an inescapable shackle on this land. The Black Crow Gang hunts down refugees and drags them off as sacrifices to appease the raging, miasma-ridden earth.

Lin Chen died on the sacrificial altar.

In his final moments, a shattered fragment of an image flashed before his eyes: the secret behind the origin of the miasma. Before he could make it out, his consciousness sank into darkness.

Reborn, he returns to the time before he was captured.

He alone can devour the miasma that everyone else avoids at all costs, using it to temper his flesh and blood and fight for a chance to survive. But this power is no gift. With every bit of miasma he absorbs, the beast within grows stronger. The more powerful he becomes, the deeper the mark of his transformation. He lives in constant fear that one day he'll become a mindless miasma beast.

Old Chen, his companion on the run, has weathered the world and carries old secrets about the sacrificial altar. He relies on Lin Chen for protection, yet fears the miasma power continually growing within the boy.

Scarface, who is hunting them, is no mere villain either. Behind the refugee blood staining his hands lies the helpless desperation of someone seeking a sliver of hope for his loved one.

Survival is only the beginning.

Caught between beasts and human cruelty, Lin Chen must fight both the blades and miasma beasts outside, and the beast raging within him. He must stay alive, clear away the layers of fog, recover the fragmented memories of his previous life, and uncover the truth buried beneath the miasma-ridden earth, a truth everyone has deliberately tried to hide.
