This world originally had no dragons, no magical energy, and no monsters. All living things existed in peace.
Three thousand years ago, an unknown, ultimate disaster dungeon from another realm, [Beyond the Heavens], suddenly descended.
With the dungeon came an alien race from another realm: the dragons.
The dragons were not native creatures. They had cultivated for endless ages inside the alien space of [Beyond the Heavens], possessing terrifying reserves of power and extraordinary bloodlines. They fell into the mortal world along with the dungeon.
The dungeon continuously leaked magical energy, completely contaminating the entire planet:
All native beasts, insects, birds, and animals mutated under the magical energy, becoming ordinary mutated demons;
Most of the dragons that descended were assimilated and driven berserk by the world's violent magical energy, becoming dragon demons;
At the same time, a tiny number of alien horrors were born in the depths of the dungeon, including giant octopuses and bizarre Cthulhu-like life forms.
Thus began the era of universal awakening.
Relying on cultivation, awakened souls, forged equipment, and magical-energy artifacts, humanity formed successive generations of expeditionary forces to fight the endless demonic calamities and struggle to preserve the spark of civilization.
The sole exception was the Silver Dragon Clan. Their hearts remained pure, they were not assimilated by magical energy, and they did not belong to the demon faction.
