The Age of Magic and Martial Arts
I. Worldbuilding
This world originally had no dragons, no magical energy, and no monsters. All living things existed in peace.
Three thousand years ago, an unknown ultimate disaster dungeon from another world, [The Arrival from Beyond], suddenly descended.
It brought with it an alien race from another world: the dragons.
The dragons were not native creatures. They had cultivated for countless ages in the dungeon's otherworldly space, possessed terrifying reserves of power and extraordinary bloodlines, and fell into the mortal world along with the dungeon.
The dungeon continuously leaked magical energy, thoroughly corrupting the entire planet.
Every native beast, insect, and bird was mutated by magical energy and turned into an ordinary mutant monster.
Most of the dragons from the other world were assimilated and driven berserk by the rampant magical energy, becoming dragon monsters.
At the same time, a tiny number of otherworldly aberrations emerged from the dungeon's depths, including giant octopuses and Cthulhu-like eldritch lifeforms.
Thus began the age of universal awakening.
Humanity relied on personal cultivation, awakened souls, forged equipment, and magical artifacts to form successive generations of exploration corps, resist endless waves of demonic calamities, and struggle to keep the flame of civilization alive.
The one exception: the Silver Dragon Clan has pure hearts and was not assimilated by magical energy, so it does not belong to the monsters' ranks.
