This world originally had no dragons, no magic energy, and no monsters. All living beings existed in peace.
Three thousand years ago, an ultimate disaster dungeon from an unknown otherworld, "Arrival from Beyond," suddenly descended.
With the dungeon came an alien race from another world: the dragons.
The dragons were not native creatures. They had cultivated for countless ages within the otherworldly space of "Arrival from Beyond," possessing terrifying reserves of power and extraordinary bloodlines before falling into the world below with the dungeon.
The dungeon continuously leaked magic energy, completely tainting the entire planet:
Every native beast, insect, bird, and animal underwent magical mutation, becoming ordinary mutated demons;
Most of the dragons from the otherworld were assimilated by the world's rampant magic energy and turned ferocious, becoming dragon demons;
Meanwhile, a tiny number of otherworldly aberrations came into being deep within the dungeon, including giant octopuses and Cthulhu-like eldritch lifeforms.
Thus began the era of mass awakening.
Humanity relied on cultivation, the awakening of souls, forged equipment, and magical tools to form successive generations of expeditionary forces, resist the endless demonic calamity, and struggle to keep the flame of civilization alive.
The one exception: the Silver Dragons had pure hearts and were not assimilated by magic energy. They did not belong to the demon faction.
