Inkstone Breeze, Evening Journey

Lu Yanci was born into a family of police officers and possessed exceptional talent. As a boy, he quietly fell in love with his neighbor and school senior Su Wan, who was four years older than him. After a clash of ideals drove a wedge between him and his father, he left for overseas in a fit of anger and spent eight years training under the greatest Chinese detective, transforming from a rebellious teenager into a top criminal investigator. That same year, Su Wan went abroad to continue her studies. They parted without a word and lost contact for eleven years. When Lu Yanci returned home with his closest friend, he was parachuted into the city bureau's major crimes unit and made a name for himself with his dazzling case-solving skills. Their old group of childhood friends reunited: a trace-evidence expert, a sharp-tongued female coroner, a criminal psychology strategist, a passionate neighborhood cop, and a big sister who worked as a radio producer. The six joined forces to crack a series of unsolved urban cases. After years apart, Lu Yanci crossed paths again with Su Wan, now a popular relationship advice streamer. She was the gentle salvation in his darkest days; he was the crush she had hidden away for her entire youth. He remained restrained and self-controlled, yet gave her all his affection. Lin Xiao, his rival in love and comrade in arms, constantly tried to outdo him, and their hilarious bickering kept the tense workdays full of laughs. The serial murder cases took twist after twist, while a shadowy international organization hidden for years gradually came to light. Old cases, the knots between their fathers, and secret conspiracies were all revealed. They stood shoulder to shoulder through life and death, and their feelings grew deeper. On a snowy winter night, Lu Yanci finally let go of all restraint and confessed the love he had carried for years. Su Wan smiled and replied, "I've always liked you too." Their love, a journey toward each other across the years, ended with justice served and their hearts fulfilled.
