Usurping the Han Dynasty

In the second year of Suihe, I transmigrated as Wang Mang's son.

Tomorrow, at the hour of the Dragon, my father will take my head in exchange for the people's praise of his "selflessness."

I admit my guilt, but I won't accept my fate.

The laws of the Han are right here: a master who kills a slave does not face the death penalty. Father, you keep saying, "The law of the land comes before private feelings." In front of all these eminent guests, will you dare to follow your own rules?

The sage's mask Wang Mang wears cracked.

That night, a heavy rain fell over Chang'an.

That night, a wastrel who should have died in the history books survived.

From then on,

he used Wang Mang's influence, took in Wang Mang's people, and dug up Wang Mang's roots.

From Chang'an to the whole realm, from a single commandery to an empire, from the Nine Provinces to the Four Seas.

Wang Mang usurped the Han. He usurped Wang Mang.

Seven generations. Seven hundred years.

From the Great Xin Dynasty to an interstellar empire.

Who says the realm can only belong to the Liu family?
