Usurping the Han Dynasty

In the second year of Suihe, I transmigrated into the son of Wang Mang.

Tomorrow at the hour of the Dragon, my father will take my head and trade it for the praise of "selfless devotion to the common good."

I admit my guilt, but I refuse to accept my fate.

The laws of the Han are clear: a master who kills a slave is not sentenced to death. Father, you keep saying, "The law of the land comes before personal feelings." Today, before this hall full of learned men, do you dare follow your own rules?

Wang Mang's mask of a sage cracked.

That night, a heavy rain fell over Chang'an.

That night, a wastrel who should have died in the history books came to life.

From then on,

he used Wang Mang's influence, recruited Wang Mang's people, and dug up Wang Mang's roots.

From Chang'an to all under heaven, from a single commandery to an empire, from the Nine Provinces to the Four Seas.

Wang Mang usurped the Han. He would usurp Wang Mang.

Seven generations. Seven hundred years.

From the Great Xin Dynasty to an interstellar empire.

Who says this realm can only bear the surname Liu?
