Ye Heng is reborn in a modern city, only to become a skeleton whose remains were dumped in the mountains.
After wandering aimlessly into a dilapidated mountain god temple, he sits on the altar to rest and unexpectedly discovers that he can sense the power of incense offerings. Through it, he gains enlightenment into the Art of Contemplating White Bones.
[Cast off the flesh, and all that remains is 206 bones; put on clothes, and you may take on 18,000 forms!]
Contemplate white bones, read people's hearts, and create divine powers!
From then on, in his skeletal body, Ye Heng embarks on a path of evolution where he alone commands the Dao and stands as the one and only transcendent being!
In the mountains, years pass unnoticed; in cultivation, one loses track of time.
Before long, the sun and moon shine in Ye Heng's eyes, and lightning flashes in his palms. Seated like a mountain, his white bones bring myth into reality, leaving all kinds of legends in the nearby villages and towns.
Then one day, a national documentary crew follows the legends to the area. They pass through these mountains as a torrential storm breaks out and take shelter in a tent. Suddenly, they hear a roar that shakes the heavens. A gleaming white figure then soars out of the deep mountains, bathing in thunder high above the clouds and shifting through eight thousand forms amid the mist.
“Today, after bathing in thunder and overcoming my tribulation, I shall be known as the White Bone Immortal!”
