The underworld had only just taken shape, and its order was in chaos. Powerful beings from the mortal realm could enter at will, take the souls of friends and relatives, alter the Book of Life and Death, and bring the dead back to life.
It went something like this:
Some powerful being: “Underworld officials, bring me the Book of Life and Death. Add a thousand years to my father-in-law's lifespan.”
Then, one day, Luo Tian awakened the Underworld Order System. He would maintain order in the underworld, establish the Nether Court, and keep watch over the mortal realm!
After that, everything changed!
King-level ghost: “My lifespan in the Book of Life and Death has already been extended by a thousand years. Why are you still trying to take my soul?”
Soul collector: “They found out what you did. Lord Luo Tian deducted two thousand years from your lifespan.”
Hunyuan powerhouse: “I already spoke with the Lord of the Underworld and arranged for my son to live another ten thousand years. Why are you still trying to take his soul?”
Soul collector: “The Lord of the Underworld altered the Book of Life and Death without authorization. Lord Luo Tian executed him on the spot.”
Hunyuan powerhouse: “...”
The Nether Court was established, with ten halls built and the Ninefold Abyss raised. The cycle of reincarnation was set, the Six Paths formed, and the mortal realm placed under its watch!
