The Ming Dynasty's Wildest Censor: Teaching Old Zhu How to Be a Benevolent Ruler, Step by Step!

[Lighthearted] [Funny] [Absurd] [Defying One's Superiors] [Turning the Natural Order Upside Down]

Shen Zheng opens his eyes and transmigrates to the Hongwu era of the Ming Dynasty, where he becomes a low-ranking censor in the Censorate.

Just then, the Hu Weiyong case explodes. The Hongwu Emperor purges the court and abolishes the office of chancellor, transferring its authority to the Six Ministries. Not a single official dares to speak up.

At this critical moment, Shen Zheng awakens a golden finger: whenever he insults someone so badly that they lose their composure, he receives a reward. The more power and status his target has, the greater the reward. He gets methods for making sugar, salt, and medicine; blueprints for gunpowder, firearms, and cannons... And if he saves up enough emotion points, he can return to the modern world and enjoy life as a billionaire.

Looking at the smug Hongwu Emperor on the throne, Shen Zheng grins, boldly steps forward, and gives him a merciless tongue-lashing!

From the Hu Weiyong case to the Blank Seal case, the Guo Huan case, the Li Shanchang case, and the Lan Yu case... Shen Zheng keeps tearing into everyone. Old Zhu not only spares his life, but keeps promoting him, until Shen Zheng takes charge of the Censorate and becomes the Ming Dynasty's foremost censor!

Censor Shen, a man of iron and steel, a true gentleman who fears no death!

Old Zhu: “That Shen lad is a born genius. He's a fine young man, except for that mouth of his. If only he were mute...”

Crown Prince Biao: “Mr. Shen is upright and hates evil. He denounces... impeaches the powerful without fear and dares to remonstrate even in the emperor's presence. He is truly my Wei Zheng!”

The officials of the entire court: “Chief Censor Shen! Lord Shen! Shen the Pit! Please stop going off on people! The more you rant, the happier His Majesty is to execute them! We're begging you, shut your damn mouth!”
