My Family Has Served in the Military for Generations. How Did You Become a Sage of Letters?

Transmigrating as the capital's number-one wastrel, Zhang Heng gets slapped by his own father from the start.

A yellow robe forced upon him, imperial exam fraud, and a city full of curses: his predecessor left him nothing but crimes punishable by death.

To stay alive, he has no choice but to come clean: Actually, I've been hiding my talents all these years!

Three and a half poems make Jinling hail him as a Poet Immortal. He stuns the literary world in the imperial exams and becomes the top scholar. A bottle of perfume starts unlocking the wealth of the realm, while two talented young women rush to offer him marriage contracts.

But the Crown Prince's faction and the Sixth Prince's faction close in at every turn. A hidden hand lurks behind the yellow robe, and the undercurrents grow ever more dangerous.

Newly transmigrated, Zhang Heng only wants to be a carefree wastrel, but you just have to force me to take that seat...
