My Family Has Served in the Military for Generations. How Did You Become a Sage of Letters?

After transmigrating as the capital's number-one playboy, Zhang Heng gets slapped by his own father right from the start.

An imperial robe forced upon him, cheating in the imperial exams, and a city full of people cursing his name: his predecessor left him nothing but crimes punishable by death.

To stay alive, he has no choice but to come clean: I've been hiding my true abilities all these years!

Three and a half poems astound Jinling, earning him the title of Poet Immortal. He shocks the literary world in the imperial exams and becomes the top scholar. A single bottle of perfume sets him on the path to controlling the world's wealth, while two talented women compete to offer him marriage contracts.

But the Crown Prince's faction and the Sixth Prince's faction keep closing in. A hidden hand lurks behind the imperial robe, and the undercurrents grow ever more violent.

Zhang Heng has only just transmigrated and wants nothing more than to be a carefree playboy, but you all insist on forcing me to take that seat…
