Trembling Softly in His Arms

[Angst Before Sweetness (Aching Push and Pull) + Uncle and Nephew Compete for Her + Reconciliation + Taking Her by Force + Slightly Coercive + He Breaks Down and Chases His Wife]

The first time Wen Ruxu went to the Ye family home, she was there as Ye Jiang's nephew Ye Kaili's girlfriend.

Ye Kaili warned her again and again: "Third Uncle is cold and ruthless, and he injured his leg. He's terrifying, so don't go near him."

Later, Wen Ruxu was forced to enter the small building where Ye Jiang was recovering.

In the dim light, the man's face was darker than the sky. His long, elegant hand rested on the wheelchair, the veins on its back standing out.

That night, he gripped Wen Ruxu by the waist and kissed her as if he meant to devour her. Burying his face against her neck, he panted, "Break up with him. Be with me."

From then on, they carried on a forbidden relationship in secret.

After three years of entanglement, Wen Ruxu finally used every trick she had to leave Ye Jiang.

Five years later, she returned to Beicheng.

Ye Jiang buries his face in the crook of her neck, his voice hoarse. "Wen Ruxu, I let you go once, but I can't let myself go. Will you come back?"
