[Angst before sweetness, with aching tension + male rivals competing for her + rekindled first love + possessive love + mild coercion + a remorseful husband who breaks down and pursues her] The first time Wen Ruxu visits the Ye family, she is there as the girlfriend of Ye Jiang’s nephew, Ye Kaili. Five years later, she returns to Beicheng. Ye Jiang buries his face in the crook of her neck, his voice hoarse. “Wen Ruxu, I let you go once, but I can’t let myself go. Come back, okay?”
