A Boatful of Stars Amid Falling Blossoms

Every evening, the villagers at the foot of Dazao Mountain hear the sound of drums. Several old men with flowers tucked into their waists and fans in their hands sing and dance around a beautiful flower boat.

Sheng Xiaoxing's grandfather has a dream: he hopes that one day he'll be able to perform on a grand stage.

“Grandpa, give it up. Who would want to watch such a tacky performance?”

“Girl, you don't understand! The flower-boat tune is a cultural heritage passed down by our ancestors. It has a beauty all its own. We should appreciate both the refined and the popular, and pass it on!”
