I Use the Snake Immortal to Subdue Demons and Ghosts

The day I was born, thunder rumbled in winter, and a bolt of lightning split the old locust tree in our yard in two. It took the blow for me. My grandfather was a lay disciple of the Lushan School. He said I was the reincarnation of a snake immortal, destined to face three calamities, six tribulations, and eighteen ordeals. Either I would die, or a whole crowd of people would. Grandfather insisted on burying me alive to prevent me from bringing disaster upon the world. My parents begged him desperately, and only then was I allowed to live. Sure enough, from the day I was born, strange things kept happening in the village. Then, on my sixth birthday, a black snake demon came to claim my life. One expert after another from the mystic arts world arrived to exorcise demons and vanquish evil, each wanting to take me as a disciple. After a series of magical duels, I followed the expert who had taught my grandfather the Lushan arts. From then on, I set foot on the mysterious and unpredictable path of the mystic arts.
