Blind String

This article is based on the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects "Liangzhou Xianxiao". Liangzhou Xianxiao, also known as Liangzhou's book of persuasion, is an ancient folk rap art mainly spread in Liangzhou area. Its content mostly praises loyal ministers and good generals, filial sons and virtuous grandchildren, advocating the values ​​of "loyalty to the country and filial piety at home", and pursuing the spiritual realm of "loyalty and filial piety". The lyrics are passed down orally from master to apprentice, and there is basically no text. They usually use three-stringed instruments to play and sing by themselves, sometimes with the accompaniment of erhu, flute, wooden fish, drums and other accompaniments. It has a profound traditional cultural heritage, profound content and unique form. The folk artists who make a living by playing and singing about Xianxiao in Liangzhou are mostly blind and are called "blind stringers". In the old society, these blind artists sang and sang along the streets, advising people to do good, and educating the people. They had some mysterious power with them, so they were respectfully called "blind immortals" by Liangzhou people. However, they were at the bottom of society, struggling to survive, and their lives were like grass. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the art of virtuous and filial piety in Liangzhou was respected and protected, and many arias and songs were created to praise the New China. With the changes of the times, the audience of Liangzhou Xianxiao is aging seriously, and young people are not paying enough attention. Liangzhou Xianxiao is facing a crisis of inheritance. The new generation of young people actively inherits the intangible cultural heritage, creates and composes songs that praise Liangzhou Xianxiao in the new era, uses digital technology to protect Liangzhou Xianxiao, uses new literary and artistic methods to develop Liangzhou Xianxiao, builds a cultural tourism industry, and rejuvenates ancient art, becoming a new business card of Liangzhou culture.
