Takuchu

This article is based on the archaeological discovery of Wuwangdun Tomb in Huainan City, Anhui Province. This archaeological project was selected as the "New Archaeological Discovery in China in 2024" by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the "Top Ten New Archaeological Discovery in China in 2024" by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, attracting widespread attention at home and abroad. This is a model of multidisciplinary collaborative scientific archeology - 15 universities and scientific research institutions have joined forces across borders, and archeology, materials science, environmental engineering, biogenetics, and digital technology dance together. The significance of this archeology has long transcended itself. It is a concentrated reflection of China's overall scientific and technological level in the humanities field. At its peak, the number of archaeological workers at Wuwangdun Tomb exceeded 100, with the average age being less than 30 years old. They are vivid footnotes for the young people in the new era to inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture. Lin Xiaoman, a female graduate student born in the 2000s, studied computer science as an undergraduate. She was accidentally transferred to the cultural relic protection technology major during the postgraduate entrance examination, and became a close disciple of the famous archaeologist Shen Huiming. She has no interest in this "old antique" knowledge. Following his mentor to participate in the entire excavation of Wuwangdun, Lin Xiaoman was deeply attracted by the Chu culture carried by the unearthed cultural relics, and gradually fell in love with archeology. He also fell in love with the unsmiling archeology doctor Lu Yanbing, and finally came together. This article adopts a dual-line narrative, which not only records the archaeological process of Wuwangdun, but also looks back at the life experiences of the owner of the tomb, King Chu Kaolie, leading readers to appreciate the mysterious and gorgeous charm of Chu culture.
