In This Martial World, Even Your True Qi Is Taxed

[First Person] + [Tax and Finance Wuxia] + [Cthulhu] + [Dark Humor] + [Rules Are Power]

The once invincible Unrivaled Sect, renowned far and wide, was branded a demonic cult by the imperial court for failing to pay its taxes. To repay his sect's debts, Jiang Xiaobai became a tax collector for the Zhenwu Bureau!

In this martial world:

Tax is charged by the volume of one's inner energy, unpaid taxes devour the body each month, and the demonic cult turns out to be a bunch of deadbeats!

A wild mashup of wuxia, dystopia, and Cthulhu!

A sarcastic, money-grubbing protagonist, a whole team of bankrupt grandmasters, and a deranged fortune-teller antagonist: not a normal person in sight.

He sells out his master five times in three days, uses erotic art to dodge taxes, and gets thrown in jail for eating hot pot at the Six Fan Gate. You'll laugh until you cry.

The senior disciple says: "The martial world is no longer about fighting and killing. It's about social graces and paying in installments."

On the surface, it's a goofy wuxia story. At its core, it's an allegory about power.
