Dragon-Seeking Notes

The Moving Mountain Sect traces its origins to an ancient tribe in the Western Regions. Cursed to rarely live past the age of sixty, its members make their living robbing tombs and specialize in the arts of exploiting the forces of mutual generation and restraint. They are elusive and secretive, and have had little contact with outsiders for many years. Yet they do all this not for wealth, but to find the Muchen Pearl. Legend says the Muchen Pearl is a phoenix transformed from the Earth Mother. Since the Shang and Zhou dynasties, it has been believed that this divine artifact can help its possessor cultivate immortality and undergo a complete transformation, though it only works in certain special places. Led by an heir to the Moving Mountain Sect, a band of tomb raiders travels across the vast land of Huaxia, opening one long-sealed imperial mausoleum after another. In ancient tombs, they battle ghosts, monsters, and the darkness in people's hearts as they seek the secrets of life, death, and reincarnation.
