The Qin People's Restaurant

Qin was the first empire to unify China. To this day, Persian uses “Qin” to refer to China and “Qini” to refer to the Chinese. In 2017, China once again resumed its reconstruction efforts in Afghanistan, which also officially joined regional cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. After his business went bankrupt, a young Chinese man named Gao Xiang keenly sensed the enormous opportunities behind the reconstruction effort. Once rebuilding began, large numbers of Chinese workers would surely come to Afghanistan. He wanted to get ahead of them and open a Chinese restaurant that blended exotic local flair with Chinese cuisine. A few months later, a group of men and women from China opened a Chinese restaurant in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan: the Qin People’s Restaurant.
