Fireflies Shine on the Bright Moon

At a bonfire party in Xinjiang, with everyone egging him on, He Yan had to invite a woman to dance. Chi Zhaoying's heart raced. She thought the man had finally come around and was asking her. But He Yan took Liu Tang's hand and said in the Altai dialect, "Ai Xi Te." Her face turned deathly pale. It meant, "I love you." The words He Yan had always refused to say to Chi Zhaoying, he had actually said to another girl on the grasslands. She wanted to leave the bonfire party, but Liu Tang smiled and said, "Sis, come join us! He Yan, that rascal, keeps wrapping his arm around my waist. It's so uncomfortable." Chi Zhaoying froze in place, her blood turning ice-cold as it seemed to flow backward, while He Yan stared intently at Liu Tang. His eyes were full of tenderness. At that moment, she knew this love was destined to end without ever coming to fruition. (This is a groveling-ex story, so there's no need to curse and swear. If you think my writing is bad or whatever, turn left at the door. You're not welcome. Read it if you like, don't if you don't.)
