A Gentle Trap

Yu Shuxin's diary was filled with Cheng Ye's name.

He shone like a star, while she was just the most ordinary person in the crowd.

Later, they met again at university. When Cheng Ye asked if she wanted to give them a try, it was like a sky full of brilliant fireworks exploding in her heart.

On graduation day, the young woman stood at the other end of the corridor and heard his indifferent voice. "Yu Shuxin?"

"Dull and boring. Not my type."

A few years later...

Yu Shuxin, now an attending physician, met with a patient's family member, never expecting to see him again after all these years.

The man had a distant gaze and an air of cool elegance that kept people at arm's length.

Later, someone at the hospital let slip that the two of them had once dated, and people came to ask her about it.

Facing the gossip, Yu Shuxin said lightly, "Who didn't date a few jerks when they were young?"

"Besides, he's not my type."

That night, Cheng Ye trapped Yu Shuxin in the crook of his arm, his scent filling her every breath. The man who was usually so cool and aloof had a restrained, unreadable look in his eyes, and his voice was hoarse.

"What if I told you that I've never had a type? The only person I've ever liked is you."

"Yu Shuxin, will you still have me?"
