Walking in the Light

Ruan Mianmian starts life holding a terrible hand. She dumps her mama's boy husband, heals her love-blinded self, changes her life, keeps a clear head, and sets a firm goal as she plays her winning card. With a strong inner core, she's both gentle and resilient.

No bride price, no wedding, a husband who is the ultimate mama's boy, and a mother-in-law full of outrageous schemes: she grits her teeth and puts up with it all for three years.

Then she finally snaps. I'm done putting up with this! Divorce. It has to happen.

She enters a marriage of convenience with her client, Yin He. Together, they're a formidable pair, fighting to reclaim everything she lost.

Yin He's stepmother tries to strip him of his inheritance by sending a woman to him. When that fails, she spreads rumors that he's gay.

He brings his newlywed wife home to move out the antiques and face-slap everyone.
