What Do You Mean, a First-Rate Savior?

[Nominee for Best Newcomer of 2022] [No. 1 bestseller in the 10th Sci-Fi Starlight Awards] [First Prize in the 2022 Science Fiction Writing Competition] Saviors come in all grades. Third-rate saviors are inefficient. Saving the world once can take years, even decades, leaving countless people to suffer. And in the end, they may not even succeed in saving it. Second-rate saviors are manipulated all their lives by schemers. Kept ignorant and toyed with, they are like puppets on someone else's strings. First-rate saviors pay an immense price to save the world. They endure the loss of a spouse, disability, the sacrifice of close friends, and countless other hardships, only to end up with nothing but an empty title or even an epitaph. “These saviors have it too rough. I won't become one of them. I'm going to be a top-tier savior!” “You're asking what makes a top-tier savior?” “Saving the world at the speed of light!” “No casualties!” “Make a fortune!” “Use the sword of the present to slay the near future, nip the apocalypse in the bud, act entirely according to your own will, and collect the reward you deserve!” “That's what makes a top-tier savior!”
