In the 1950s, New China's economic construction had been facing serious oil shortages. Qin Limin, who has had the dream of "oil extraction" since childhood, met Zhuang Jie, who also had the dream of "oil refining". Two young people with different backgrounds and diametrically opposite personalities inherited the banner of their fathers. In order to get rid of New China's label as an "oil-poor country", they traveled from the "Yumen Oilfield" in the northwest to the "Entrepreneurial Oilfield" in the northeast. From not understanding each other to knowing each other and falling in love, they experienced the whirlpool of the times together, overcame various difficulties, and used their lifelong efforts to fulfill the solemn promises they made in their youth. Three generations of oil people have persevered for more than half a century. From drilling the first oil well in New China to leading the trend of the international oil and gas industry, China Petroleum people used their youth, wisdom and passion, and the fighting spirit of "fighting for the nation and cheering for the motherland" to jointly write a glorious chapter in the development of China's oil industry on the land of China.
