A Matchmaking Manual

Miss Su has had a life of effortless luxury and good fortune. Her one and only blemish is having a sickly, obsessive fiancé!

To get as far away from that blemish as possible, Miss Su runs away from her wedding. Settling down in a small town, she decides that one of the handsome, innocent, shy young constables at the local yamen seems like a fine match.

Su Tianxing: “Song He, I think we're a good fit. How about coming home with me and becoming my husband?”

Song He suppresses his excitement, removes someone's hand from him, and goes back to his book. “Don't you already have a fiancé?”

Su Tianxing: “I don't like him! I'm not marrying him!”

Half a month later, Su Tianxing sees a man in the robes of the top scholar arriving at her door in a flower-decked wedding sedan. He asks her, “So, you really won't marry me?”

Su Tianxing: “...”

Can someone please explain how the young constable became her fiancé?
