The Unrivaled Young Man

In the eighth year of the Tianhan era, at the winter solstice, the northern wind howled as the King of the Northern Nomads personally led an army of a hundred thousand to breach Yanmen Pass. Yanzhou lay in ruins, smoke signals rose everywhere, corpses covered the land, nine out of every ten households stood empty, and bones littered the ground! The emperor issued dozens of orders, but not one vassal king answered the summons to defend the throne. The Longhan dynasty teetered on the brink of destruction! Outside the capital, red robes blazed like fire, and a white horse stood ready, golden spear in hand. The young man sat astride his horse by the Yan River, clad in fine qilin-scale armor and a steel mask. His long-handled golden spear pointed straight at the sky. His gaze burned bright, and he faced death without fear! One sweep of his spear shattered eight thousand suits of armor. Five thousand red-armored soldiers rode out, leaving seventy thousand Northern Nomads dead within the pass. The dragon laid down its armor, and the young man returned. From then on, Longhan had one fewer peerless Heavenly General, but one more young sage of letters.
