Securing the Realm

Legend says that when the three stars of Po Jun, Qi Sha, and Tan Lang appear together, the realm falls into turmoil and dynasties change. On the surface, the dynasty seems to be enjoying a golden age, but beneath that calm lie dangers at every turn. Princes vie for the throne from within, while enemy nations watch hungrily from beyond the borders. Then, without warning, the three stars appear together in an extraordinary celestial event.

A descendant of a meritorious official hides his ambition and commands three-tenths of the realm’s wealth. The struggle for the throne grows ever fiercer, with the princes ready to draw swords against one another at the slightest provocation. Nomadic cavalry dominate the northwest, intent on carving out a realm of their own. In the southwest, remnants of the previous dynasty bide their time, never forgetting their dream of restoring their former kingdom.
