The Carefree Young Governor

"I used to be the Night Emperor of the Great Song. Now I just want to be a good person."

A jeweler transmigrates into a chaotic age resembling the late Northern Song and becomes a corrupt powerbroker of the past. His former self was notorious for evil deeds and had made countless enemies. Surrounded by beauties and famous scholars who wanted nothing more than to kill him, he said this in hopes of saving his own skin.

In truth, he's been doing his best to prove that he's a good person. But there may have been a few little problems with the details. After he makes his moves, the stunned crowd lets out an anguished roar:

"I don't believe a word you say! You used to be the Night Emperor of the Great Song, and now you just want to get rid of the word 'Night'!"
