I've Been Plotting to Win Her Over for a Long Time

Jin He endured four years in a marriage as cold as ice.

She could put up with his indifference and distance.

But when she saw Cheng Yansheng being all lovey-dovey with another woman, she walked away without hesitation, taking the baby she had unexpectedly conceived and fleeing far away.

A few years later, she had raised her child into a thoughtful, considerate little ray of sunshine, and her career was thriving.

When she crossed paths with Cheng Yansheng at work again, they were both rivals and old acquaintances.

They refused to yield to each other at the negotiating table, but Cheng Yansheng looked at her with a heat she'd never seen before.

Then one day, at a grand press conference, Cheng Yansheng, who had been single for a long time, was asked what kind of woman he wanted.

Without hesitation, he replied, "One who argues with me but doesn't know how to soothe me."

"Someone who seems gentle, but has a sharp edge."

"Someone who, once disappointed in a man, would rather crash into a brick wall than give him another chance."

Everyone present was in an uproar. So Mr. Cheng had a masochistic streak.

Cheng Yansheng added with a meaningful smile, "Ideally, she should have had a child. A daughter would be even better."

Meanwhile, Jin He was trembling in a corner. Cheng Yansheng, you might as well read out my ID number!
