I've Been Plotting to Win Her Over for a Long Time

Jin He endured four years in a marriage as cold as ice.

She could put up with his indifference and distance.

But when she saw Cheng Yansheng being intimate with another woman, she walked away without hesitation, taking the baby she had conceived by surprise and disappearing far away.

A few years later, she had raised her child into a thoughtful, considerate little ray of sunshine, and her career was flourishing too.

When she and Cheng Yansheng met again at work, they were both rivals and old acquaintances.

They refused to give an inch at the negotiating table, but Cheng Yansheng's gaze had taken on a heat she had never seen before.

Then one day, at a grand press conference, someone asked the long-single Cheng Yansheng what kind of woman he wanted.

Without a moment's hesitation, he replied, "One who argues with me, and doesn't know how to soothe me."

"Someone who seems gentle, but is actually strong-willed."

"Someone who, once she's given up on a man, would rather crash into a wall than give him another chance."

Everyone present was in an uproar. So Mr. Cheng had a masochistic streak.

Cheng Yansheng added with a deep smile, "Ideally, she's had a child. A daughter would be even better."

Jin He, standing in the corner, trembled. Cheng Yansheng, you might as well just announce my ID number!
