In Cold Armor, I Ask the Rivers and Mountains

After his soul enters the body of a defeated Tang soldier, Chen Shi crawls out of a pile of corpses in Nanzhao with only one wish: to survive. The An Lushan Rebellion's flames consume the sky. Generals steady the raging tides with their spears, and the blade that kills can also be a blade that saves lives. Rising from the mire, he fights his way to the heart of the storm. The clouds of chaos begin to clear, but undercurrents surge once more. Eunuchs seize power, political factions tear at each other, and military governors carve up the land. If he does not fight, he dies. The world knows only the chill of armor, never the burning blood that cries out for the land.
