A Doctor in Fine Clothes

After four years apart, an unexpected encounter on the operating table left her facing him "bare." "You think finding a man to back you up means I won't dare lay a finger on you?" He gripped her chin, his deep eyes gleaming with smug delight. "How are you going to repay what you owe me? Do I really need to remind you?"

She neither dodged nor struggled, only lifted her eyes and taunted him with a cold smile. "Professor Kang, I'm willing to repay you. But are you willing to accept?"

"Try me!"

Pointing at the little one in her arms, he sneered with contempt. "I just don't get it. You were already a bastard no one wanted. How dare you have a little thing with no father, just like you?"

She forced back her tears and swore silently: Kang Ziren, after what you just said, you don't deserve to have a child!

He did everything he could to keep her by his side, yet she left him at the wedding. "Kang Ziren, you insulted my youth, ruined my future, and robbed me of happiness... Today, I return every bit of humiliation you and your family have inflicted on me. From now on, we owe each other nothing!"

She thought leaving him without a backward glance, deliberately keeping her distance, and hurting him again and again would drive them apart.

But she never expected that the more they misunderstood each other, the more deeply they would fall in love...
