Night Watcher’s Tales: A Construction Site Crawling with Ghosts

After the factory shut down, I took a job as a night watchman at a construction site for a monthly salary of six thousand. The boss laid down one ironclad rule: after midnight, never open the door for anyone who knocks. And before entering any room, you must knock first! I thought they were just ordinary rules, but on my very first night I ran into something uncanny, saw a ghostly shadow, and suffered sleep paralysis! A “living person” was lying in the empty room next door, someone jumped from the fourth floor but left no corpse, and a ghostly maze tried to send me plunging to my death... Just as evil spirits latched onto me and my life hung by a thread, I unexpectedly obtained a mysterious wooden ox and awakened a night watchman’s gift! From then on, I worked by day and slew evil spirits by night! I crushed fierce ghosts, broke sinister formations, battled wicked sorcerers, and uncovered a century-old deadly scheme at the construction site! From a down-and-out laborer, I rose to become a night watchman feared by both the living and the dead! A ghost knocks? I open the door and cut it down! The rules? I am the rules!
