The Blood Jade Curse

A piece of blood jade, a curse binding two generations. Eighteen years ago, it witnessed the slaughter of the entire family of Xiao Tianjue, leader of the martial world. Only his infant daughter, Xiao Li, survived, falling from a cliff and vanishing without a trace. Eighteen years later, in the Year of the Fire Horse, the blood jade reappears in the martial world. Rumor has it that “whoever obtains it can unlock the secrets of heaven, but will also invite a deadly calamity.” Disguised as a musician, Xiao Li infiltrates Jinling, where she meets Yue Qingshuang, daughter of the martial world’s leader. One is as cold and beautiful as frost, investigating the truth behind her family’s massacre; the other is as bright and fiery as flame, with a mysterious past. When the two halves of the blood jade come together, they reveal more than a map to a hidden treasure. They also uncover a cruel prophecy: “When the twins fall, the world will crumble.” Shen Ye, an assassin of the Azure Dragon Society, is ordered to seize the jade, but soon finds himself ensnared in love. Xie Yunzhou, the gentle young master of the Xie family, stays by their side while hiding his family’s secrets. And the mastermind behind it all may be a close relative, or a beloved companion. In this game of chess, where the martial world is the board and human hearts are the pieces, the sisters discover that the blood jade’s most vicious curse is not murder. It is making those bound by blood into fated enemies. From Jinling’s eerie mists to the imperial tombs of the northern deserts, from conflicts in the martial world to the undercurrents of court intrigue, they must break free of their fate before the blood jade’s curse comes true, or… become fate itself.
