Outside the Great Xia Empire, fierce Tatar enemies threaten the borders. Within, a plague runs rampant. This illegitimate prince is packed off to the epidemic zone as a sacrificial offering.

He bullies men and women, gives up on everything and lies flat, but no matter how many times he makes a desperate escape, he's always caught and dragged back.

Then he realizes his father isn't unaware of his uselessness. There simply isn't anyone else to send. And since he can't stand by and watch the people die, he risks his life to fight the disaster, turning a region that should be in hell mode into a paradise.

His eight older brothers are locked in a deadly struggle for the throne in the capital. Then one day, they suddenly realize their dim-witted little brother, the expendable one, has quietly risen to the very peak of power?!

Zhu Feng: "Don't look at me. I just want to lie flat. Count me out of the succession fight."
