The Incompetent Veterinarian

He's a veterinarian who somehow winds up in ancient times. On battlefields ravaged by war and in plague zones gripped by disease, he puts his skills to work, using modern veterinary knowledge to spark a medical revolution. He's also a crooked businessman, with all kinds of harebrained schemes for raking in money: building guns, selling smuggled salt, digging canals. If there's profit to be made, he wants in. At the same time, he's a Chinese nationalist, driven by a burning passion to rebuild a powerful Chinese empire. Historical figures like Huang Taiji, Yuan Chonghuan, and the Chongzhen Emperor leap from the page, recast with different personalities and appearances to reinterpret that particular period of history. The story turns history on its head, depicting the social, economic, and cultural landscape of the Ming Dynasty as the author imagines it, as well as the ugliness and nobility of human nature. This work has drawn its share of criticism and endured all kinds of hardships. After all, the veterinarian is only human, not perfect. He's a womanizer, but he cares deeply for those he loves; he likes to brag, but he's willing to admit when he's wrong; he's greedy, but he knows when to stop. He has all the flaws of an ordinary man, yet also a sincere and kind heart.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! “I have no experience!” That's what Asen always says. But what exactly does he need experience in? Love? Adventure? Or building a vast empire? As Li Kaiyang's son, he may have inherited his mother's Western features in full, but in temperament, he's his father's son through and through, and may even surpass him. To escape the misery of an arranged marriage, Asen makes a habit of running away from home. Of course, that's just an excuse. This time, he accidentally stows away aboard a mysterious cargo ship, the Blue Whale, and his fate is changed forever. Seeking thrills is his goal, and the pursuit of challenges is his driving force. Even as he crosses oceans, Asen never forgets that he's Li Kaiyang's son. He carries on his father's finest traditions and makes Viagra a worldwide sensation. A new pirate terror is born upon the heaving seas, while the Sun King's banner flies above the war-torn continent of Europe. “I have no experience!” With those words, Asen proves through his legendary adventures that he is worthy of the title King of Adventure. For the sake of the woman he loves, Princess Sofia of Spain, he resolutely leads his companions onto French soil and begins his quest to conquer Europe. The Holy Roman Empire, England, Italy, and Spain: Asen and his Holy France are at war with almost all of Europe. With danger at every turn and a sheer cliff at his back, what will Asen do? How will he become the Sun King, King of France, and King of Europe, celebrated by the whole world? Stay tuned!
