Back to the Past as an Academic Leader

After transmigrating to the past, Cheng Nuo becomes one of the last students sent to study in America on Boxer Indemnity scholarships in the late Qing dynasty.

By the time he graduates from an Ivy League university and returns home, the dynasty has long since fallen, and the world has been turned upside down.

Yet the foreign powers are still eyeing the country hungrily. The nation is on the verge of collapse, and its people are losing their livelihood.

Drawing on his extraordinary memory, he learns at a rapid pace. He believes education and science can change people’s fates, and, mastering numerous fields, he eventually becomes a leading figure in academia, advancing scientific progress single-handedly.

Science knows no borders, but scientists do.
