The Scribe

A legal history graduate transmigrates to the Yonghui era of Emperor Gaozong's reign in the Tang Dynasty, becoming a clerk in the yamen's criminal court. Relying on his keen, analytical mind and deep knowledge of the Tang Code with Commentary, he wields his brilliant pen to judge criminal cases, right wrongs, clear injustices, crack bizarre cases, defend the weak, turn the world upside down, and enjoy the company of beautiful women as he cuts a dashing figure in official circles.

Let those who can read

Wield their pens in secret,

Write right and wrong as their hearts dictate,

And keep their words from the eyes of the age.
