The Great Song’s Porcelain Maiden

Ye Qingyou, an inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of Longquan celadon firing, woke up one morning to discover that she had returned to the Song Dynasty and become the youngest daughter in an artisan’s family.

A frail woman was holding her and weeping, while a group of worthless, despicable relatives looked on greedily and urged her mother to sell her corpse for a ghost marriage in exchange for celadon, so they could get through this year’s celadon tax collection.

After all, if their family failed to hand over the celadon tribute demanded by the authorities, every one of them would be sent to perform corvée labor!

Well then, with her here, how could they possibly lack celadon?!

Wasn’t this exactly her area of expertise?

Ye Qingyou studied modern theory and ancient craftsmanship painstakingly, combining the two as she tore apart her despicable relatives and relied on her celadon-making skills to lead the entire family to separate from the clan and stand on their own.

As they escaped their desperate circumstances and made a name throughout the world, she also forged a path for preserving and improving the firing techniques of Longquan celadon.
