The Great Shang Dynasty: Starting with Divination

The Great Shang: an ancient age woven with myth.

When the youth Jiu Qing climbs the nine-tiered tower with the Book of Guicang in hand and divines for the king against the wind, fate intertwines and the world turns.

The wind falls over Dongyi, and its people scatter.

The drums thunder through Jiuli, and it fractures.

The phoenix cries over Xiqi, and it falls.

The serpent coils around Gonggong, and it breaks.

When the divination is done, Jiu Qing tells King Di Xin of Shang, “Your Majesty... ushering in the new and sweeping away the old is an auspicious omen!”

Di Xin laughs heartily. “Good...”

PS1: Longevity, no System, no female lead.

PS2: A mythical Great Shang, not set in the world of Investiture of the Gods!

PS3: The protagonist is no mere observer of history. He will change history on a massive scale, enough to keep the dynasty from falling!

PS4: Timeline: Xia, Great Shang, Western Zhou, Eastern Zhou (Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods), Great Qin, Western Chu, Western Han, Eastern Han, Wei and Jin, Sui, Great Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming...

PS5: Storylines: The Classic of Mountains and Seas, sacrificial rites and divination, the Rites of Zhou, the Hundred Schools of Thought, the elixir of immortality, the Chu-Han boundary, the Mandate of Heaven of the Great Han, the heroes of the Three Kingdoms, the elegance of celebrated scholars, the unification of the north and south under Sui, and the union of the realm in a golden age...

PS6: How the story will follow the sequence of dynasties while preventing the previous dynasty from falling is something I’ll leave unsaid for now...
