Everyone has different tastes.
Here are the tropes and plot points I dislike most.
First, historical fiction with a System (or some other nonsensical high-tech golden finger).
A System in a historical novel is something I absolutely can't accept. Transmigrating is already the biggest golden finger there is. Why add a System on top of that? Is the protagonist really such a good-for-nothing? It also makes the story hard to relate to and pulls you right out of it.
Second, authors who recycle old jokes and think they're hilarious.
The rise of My Senior Brother Is Too Steady sparked a wave of humorous novels. That was fine in itself, but some authors clearly aren't good at comedy and still insist on copying others. Their self-indulgent jokes can be painfully awkward.
Third, authors who are obsessed with little girls or teenage girls.
I don't like silly, sweet heroines who only know how to act cute and cling to people. Every character in a novel should help move the main plot forward. What's the point of having a pretty ornament just standing around? This is especially true for authors who can't write romance but still drag it out until it becomes unbearable. By the end, you realize that deleting the entire section wouldn't affect the story at all. Now that explicit erotica is no longer allowed, many heroines don't need to exist in the first place.
