As a newcomer, I feel like there aren't many books on Qidian that suit my tastes. Most of the books I like are years old. Since you can't exactly conserve this sort of thing, I figured I'd expand the supply instead. So I'll start adding promising ongoing and new novels I've read and enjoyed, both to recommend them and to find readers with similar tastes to exchange recommendations with. My personal tastes: I like well-rounded protagonists and plots with consistent, believable logic. Harem stories are fine, but I prefer them to feel realistic. The protagonist shouldn't be able to take on concubines just because some woman irrationally falls for him. I also prefer relationships to begin after the previous one has ended, rather than having a main wife and secondary wives. A classic example is the rivalry between Forest and Big Tree in Chicago 1990. My rating scale: Decent, Good, Very Good, Excellent, Outstanding I'll also list what I see as each book's strengths and weaknesses, and explain why I gave it that rating.
