Ten strangers with different identities are invited to a mansion on an isolated island off the coast of Devon. When the guests arrived, the host did not appear. That night, a mysterious voice makes accusations, revealing the sinful secrets in each person's heart. Then, a guest died mysteriously. The storm isolates the island from the rest of the world, and the ancient nursery rhyme "Ten Little Soldiers" becomes a death spell. As predicted in the song, the guests died one after another... After the killing game ended, no one survived!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Nursery Rhyme Murder! Don't be too good-looking, it has been ranked first among Grandma's best-looking novels in multiple reviews! A desert island, 8 guests + 2 servants, a nursery rhyme, and 10 Indian boys. With every death, there was one less little Indian boy on the table. These ten men were called sinners by the inviter, and he killed them all in his own way. No one knew who the murderers were because they were all dead. . . According to the way to die in the nursery rhyme: Ten little Indian boys, running for food; There is no way to save one of them from choking, and only nine out of ten are left. Nine little Indian boys stayed up late at night and were really sleepy; I fell asleep and died, only eight of the nine were left. Eight little Indian boys went on a hunt for adventure in Devon; Leaving one life behind and returning to the west, there are only seven left out of eight. Seven little Indian boys were not good at chopping down trees and branches; If the ax cuts in half, one life will be lost, and only six will be left out of seven. Six little Indian boys, playing with the hive to make the bees angry; A sting flew by, and there were only five left out of six. Five little Indian boys, causing trouble and filing lawsuits; Wrapped in lawsuits until their death, only four of the five remained. Four little Indian boys went to sea together and met with disaster; The herrings devoured the blood spots, leaving only three of the four. Three little Indian boys met with disaster in the zoo; The bears suddenly fell from the sky, and only two of the three were left. Two little Indian boys sighed under the sun; The sorrow is sun-baked to death, and only two are left. A little Indian boy came back alone; Xuanliang committed suicide and left no one alive.

A letter asking for help brought Poirot to France, but he arrived too late because his client had been stabbed to death with a paper knife and lay face down in a grave on a golf course. Why did the deceased's coat grow a lot? To whom is the passionate love letter in the coat pocket addressed? Before Poirot had time to figure out these problems, the second corpse appeared in the same way...

Compared to the others, this story is quite average and has nothing particularly outstanding, but even so, not everyone can guess it, hahaha. The love story in it is quite interesting.

On November 10, "Murder on the Orient Express" was put on the big screen again after 43 years, starring Kenneth Branagh, Penelope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp and many other top actors. In 1974, Ingrid Bergman won an Oscar for the film of the same name adapted from the book, and the Queen of England attended the premiere of the film. This book is based on the sensational real-life case "The Kidnapping of Lindbergh's Sons" in 1932, which vividly demonstrates the author's profound skill in portraying group portraits. Detective Poirot completed a commission in Syria and wanted to return home on the Simplon Orient Express. The strange thing is that it seems that people all over the world choose to travel on that night, and it is hard to get a ticket for this luxury train, which always has ample berths. Fortunately, he met his good friend Mr. Booker, the director of the International Bus Company, and then he squeezed into the car. After midnight, a heavy snowfall forced the Simplon to stop. Early the next morning, everyone discovered that one passenger was missing. An American died in his box, stabbed twelve times, but the door to his box was locked. As the investigation deepened, the case seemed to become more complicated and confusing. Detective Poirot came up with two completely different explanations...

Hahaha, I guess the reason why Dian Niang added so many grandma's books this time is because Murder on the Orient Train was released! This novel is relatively famous among grandma's books, along with "Crime in the Sun", "Tragedy on the Nile", and "Delayed Revenge" (played by Elizabeth Taylor), all of which I have read since childhood. This time it has been remade again. It is said that even if you have read the original work, it will not affect the viewing effect at all. A wealthy villain suddenly died tragically on a train. Almost everyone was involved with him. Justice and morality, reason and emotion, where should Poirot go? What I like most about Poirot is that he was made into a living person with flesh and blood and shortcomings by his grandmother. He will not stand on the highest moral point and overlook all living beings, but will choose to handle the case more in line with his heart like an ordinary person. (I would like to particularly recommend Poirot's last case "The Curtain", but it is not included!!!) The case is very exciting, and the ending is both unexpected and reasonable.

Mrs. Inglethorpe, the mistress of Styles Manor, holds the financial reins. In the early hours of one morning, she died of poisoning in her room, and the three doors of the room were locked from the inside. Detective Poirot discovered a series of doubts during the investigation of the case, but the biggest suspect-Mrs. Inglethorpe's husband had no evidence of absence. What troubles Poirot most is that everyone in the manor seems to be hiding something.

This must be the first novel I have read by Grandma, and I have been trapped in a world of suspense and reasoning since then and cannot extricate myself. The beginning of the story is simple and clear, with almost all the fingers pointing at the same person. But just when everyone thought everything was reasonable, things suddenly changed dramatically. In the process, the feelings between family members also changed subtly. I especially like a quote from Poirot. This little Belgian man with a beautiful moustache said, "I am saving love." At this time, he was probably not only a detective who was ruthless, but also a knight full of romantic feelings in his bones. Ps: Grandma's love is written in a subtle and unique way, with a unique flavor contained in it.
6Pride and Prejudice
General Fiction傲慢与偏见

The novel uses daily life as the material, vividly reflecting the conservative and secluded British rural life and social conditions from the late 18th to the early 19th century. It expresses the author's own concept of marriage and emphasizes the impact of economic interests and family status on love and marriage.

A very classic novel, it was also my favorite when I was a student. I read it several times almost every winter and summer vacation. It is also the best stress reliever during exam review. The gentle and beautiful Jane, the kind and sincere Bingley, the arrogant but upright Darcy, the self-respecting but arrogant Elizabeth, each character is truly loved. I have read several other books by Austen, and "Emma" and "Persuasion" are also very good. Among them, "Emma" has more shadows of "Pride and Prejudice", and "Persuasion" is my favorite book by the author besides "Pride and Prejudice". Friends who like her can read it, especially the analysis of the attitudes of men and women towards relationships, which is really impressive.

I read the physical book, but later I discovered that at the starting point, I originally read it as a suspense mystery, but the interaction between the male and female protagonists was so cute, hahaha.

Recommended by a colleague, all the battles of wits and courage, all kinds of fun, all kinds of excitement, all kinds of wonderful things that I can't stop writing, including homosexuality, incest, incest, love between young and old, you can't even imagine it, but she couldn't have written it. It took 6 years and 500+ million. The heroine was married from the age of 20 to 30, and she was still wavering after three husbands. The completion of the book is still far away, so be careful!
