Sci-Fi (Cutting-Edge Tech) and Clean Reads

[My main recommendations are science fiction, sci-fi with advanced technology, and science fiction exploring ideology. Even if a book isn't officially classified as sci-fi, I'll call it science fiction if I say so.] [I'll also recommend novels with distinctive qualities that I enjoy, along with other books I think are good.] [I promise to introduce my recommendations while avoiding spoilers as much as possible.] Most science fiction on Qidian still falls short of my ideal of science fiction combined with plot, completeness, and broad appeal. But Qidian has been holding awards and similar events to encourage authors to write sci-fi, and the quality of the science fiction section is steadily improving. One day, we'll see the kind of sci-fi web novels readers are hoping for. There are lots of books in the science fiction section I'd like to recommend, but some of the comments are so frustrating that I can't bring myself to do it. I'm a bit obsessive about these things, so I still haven't dared recommend them. The deeper my love for them grows, the more careful I become. Then tonight I thought of an idea that I hope will help fellow readers. 1. Don't let the comments spoil your enjoyment, but don't give up the fun of reading them either. When you find a new book by a new author, the best approach is to ignore its stats and hold off on the comments for the first ten or twenty chapters. Once you've finished a few chapters or a full story arc, then enjoy reading the comments. 2. Always think for yourself. Don't let others sway you. If you like something, you like it, no matter what others say. If you don't, just leave. Don't say anything hurtful on your way out; it won't help a new author grow. 3. Point out the author's mistakes politely. If you get muted, don't get angry. If you really can't take it, just move on.
