Rebirth in the Apocalypse

All right, the synopsis shouldn't be too jokey or silly. Otherwise, even I might get sidetracked.

Let's go with something more traditional:

The story takes place in a world several centuries from now, where humanity has developed its own system and way of life in response to an invasion by alien species. After sleeping soundly for hundreds of years, the protagonist wakes up and struggles to find his place in this world.

The opening may not be great, so try not to get hung up on it. Things will get more exciting later.
